Interested candidates should apply in person at 4971 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie, LA to complete an employment application and maintenance assessment. No appointment is necessary. This can be done any time Monday - Friday from 9AM to 4PM.

Apartment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for:
-- overall maintenance and repairs to all HVAC units, appliances, electrical and plumbing needs.
-- the apartment make-ready process.
-- working resident service requests through to fruition in an efficient manner.
-- proper inventory control measures.
-- working together with the Property Manager to provide great resident services to help retain our current residents.

At 1st Lake Properties, Inc., we are committed to advancing your career through continuing education and training. We provide team members with basic, intermediate and advanced level apartment industry training and education.

Team Members have the opportunity to participate in up to 150 hours of in-house education and training each year, which is valued at over $2,200 per year.

Further, we also reimburse team members for expenses incurred to earn apartment industry certifications, such as:
-- National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP)
-- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM)
-- Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS)
-- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT)

We also pay for the necessary continuing education and training required to maintain apartment industry certifications once earned.

-- Responding quickly and courteously to resident requests for maintenance service
-- Troubleshooting the source and taking the appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards
-- Making ready available units for move-ins
-- Assisting property manager in controlling expenses, inventory and other related duties as it relates to property maintenance.

Requirements:
-- must have previous experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs
-- must have HVAC certification and possess tools and reliable transportation
