Jobing Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Presence and Participation in the majority of Technical presentations conducted for Computer Operations via Systems Services Team and others.

• To train, teach and mentor staff by offering both formal and informal education which is directly related to the roles and responsibilities of System Operations.


• Monitor and enforce compliance with all compliance standards; SOX, HIPAA, Document protection; etc. Be aware of and convey newly implemented processes to staff concerning compliance requirements.


• To remain actively engaged with all issues central to System Operations on shift and off shift so that staff is well informed and up to speed.


• To be committed to the common cause of ensuring our department is seen as a major contributing partner.


• To build inter-departmental relationships.


• Act as the liaison between staff and management: organizing, presenting, and communicating problems, issues, or ideas.


• Participate in Peer discussions to identify opportunities for departmental improvement.


• Head up and Manage escalation activities.


• Respond to customers concerns in a timely manner understanding that a no response or a next week response leads to customer dissatisfaction and reflects on the department.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in a IT Operations Leadership role


• 3+ years experience with iSeries operations


• 3+ years experience with zSeries operations


• 3+ years Project Management experience


• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of equivalent work experience

Assets:

• ITIL Certification or experience


• SOX regulatory experience


• Experience with data analysis and metrics reporting
