SUMMARY

The Lead BPM (Business Process Management) Analyst is the lead Analyst on the Business Process Management team. The Lead BPM analyst should have the proven ability to successfully define business cases, needs, and processes through workshop facilitation, interviews, observation work and business modeling techniques. Extensive experience in all aspects of Business Analysis, including strategy, concept development, scope definition, problem discovery, design, issue resolution, and *bridging* the business and technical teams to translate business needs into technology solutions. The analyst should be able to assemble the information learnt during the BPM stages into process architecture and hierarchies, aligning people, systems, governance and defining overlaying hierarchies of process metrics and KPIs. The successful BPM analyst should be able to effectively collaborate and share collective insight with team members, document project deliverables and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization from the desk level to the C level and possess a solid understanding of the business motivations to implement change.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Facilitating organizational change strategy development and objective setting with a cross-functional group of business stakeholders.
* Documenting and communicating strategic intent and roadmap planning and development for the change initiative.
* Scoping, scheduling and facilitating workshops with the business and subject matter experts (SMEs) to discover, document, analyze and optimize business processes
* Performing detailed Gap Analysis between current and future state business processes.
* Provide strategic support to business in defining and designing business processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on business requirements.
* Direct projects and be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria; maintain full knowledge of all phases of business specific technology implementations.
* Actively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors practices relevant to the assigned business
* Asses near term needs, utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities; consult with technical SMEs and develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
* Facilitate development of cross-line of business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options and process facilitation techniques.
* Demonstrate the ability to capture, define, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into activity diagrams, system use cases and supplemental specifications that contribute to effective software development.
* Work with packaged application/COTS/SAAS vendors to maintain the integrity of business requirements through implementation
* Recommend improvements to methodologies and processes and helps integrate or implement them in order to more effectively deliver requirements and support the business and IT.
* Assist in the selection and training of other Business Analysis team members

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related discipline required, MBA or Masters highly desirable.
* 10+ years of senior level analysis experience in business process analysis in a large-scale environment, or business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale systems.
* Previous experience in business process re-engineering or business process improvement is required involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business changes
* Two or more years of management experience in which one or more of the following occurred :Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management, gained experience in managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects, gained experience in leading multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups, and/or demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
* Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
* Experience across a variety of process methodology and modeling techniques and BPM tools (e.g. LEAN, Six Sigma, BPMS).
* Ability to facilitate consensus and negotiate compromise.
* Individual who is a conceptual, strategic thinker, who can transform ideas into practical implementation at a detailed level
