Quality Assurance Supervisor

Nammo Composite Solutions, owned by Nammo Talley, Inc. is an engineering and composite manufacturing company with more than 20 years of operation. Our facility is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified professional individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance Supervisor. The chosen candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities within the QA Lab at Nammo, managing the QA team and working with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and Shipping/Receiving.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop personnel and workflow of Quality Assurance Department (9-15 people)

* Coordinate Material Review Board activities to efficiently disposition non-conformant materials

* Drive process improvement in the Quality Assurance lab

* Generate and manage the budget for the Quality Assurance Department

* Generate and review metrics, trends, action plans, preventive action plans, analyze misses, and risk & opportunities management. Set goals and align metrics to business strategies. Collect, review, communicate and report quality performance data.

* Coordinate training activities for the QA staff to assure appropriate staffing per program specific workload requirements

* Coordinate inspection plan development and implementation with the Quality Engineering Team

* Assign and prioritize workload for QA staff including product inspections, incoming material inspections, and other required activities

* Interact with Operations and Engineering to efficiently provide quality data, driving process control and improvements

* Work with Compliance Officer to assure implementation of all required quality systems

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):
* BS/BA Degree Required.

* Engineering-Sciences degree with 5+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance Organization preferred

* Experience managing direct reports

* Strong knowledge of quality management systems

* Strong knowledge of GD&T

* CMM inspection experience preferred

* Experience with PCDMIS software preferred

* Lean Six Sigma training preferred

* Familiarity with DOD/Aerospace quality standards

* Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and manufacturing concepts related to quality control.

* Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid accurate conclusions.

* Ability to lead a team with a focus on process improvement a must

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Visio.

* Familiarity with solid modeling software (i.e. Solid Edge/SolidWorks) 3D model and 2D drawing creation.

* The role requires excellent interaction and communication skills with the ability to work closely with both internal and external customers.
