The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition Strategic Programs will be a key contributor, leading the staffing function through operational excellence initiatives and strategic partnerships with vendors. Key areas of responsibility include designing, executing and measuring programs related to diversity recruiting, contingent workforce management, relocation, background screening, marketing, and immigration. In addition, this leader will manage all technology used by Talent Acquisition and collaborate with stake-holders to develop relevant staffing performance metrics and standards.
Skills / Requirements
Typical responsibilities will include:
* Leading a team comprised of:
* Tools and Analytics: Providing system administration of the applicant tracking system, management of other tools such as LinkedIn, and metrics, scorecards and analysis.
* Program Managers: Ensuring strategic support and consultation to hiring managers and recruiting leaders to create and drive vendor and diversity strategies.
* Providing thought leadership on emerging technologies and practices which would enhance SCE‚s ability to identify, attract and recruit talent while at the same time balancing risk.
* Contributing to business unit and department-wide staffing, recruitment strategy and forecasting activities for diversity recruiting and contingent workforce management by attending strategic planning sessions and meetings, collaborating with stakeholders, advising on options, costs and return on investment, and providing talent and recruiting information to inform the business talent strategy.
* Providing leadership to professional staff including setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable through goal setting, coaching and counseling. In addition, developing relevant training and development plans, as well as salary administration, selection and/or approval of selected staff, and disciplinary action.
* Creating long- and short-term strategies and programs with clearly defined objectives and measures of success.
* Consulting with senior leadership and HR colleagues to facilitate discussions regarding vendor, technology and diversity strategies, ensuring that decisions adhere to corporate guidelines and requirements.
* Creating and maintaining a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
* Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* Experience implementing, stabilizing and continuously improving vendor partnerships/programs.
* Experience with one of the following programs:
* Recruiting technology such as applicant tracking systems (i.e.,Taleo
* HR related vendors such as background screening or contingent workforce management.
* Five years of experience leading a team.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor‚s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or Management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* A successful track record of building relationships and integrating work across relevant areas, developing service offerings to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, managing risks appropriately, developing and execute business plans, managing information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
* Experience collaborating with stakeholders and leading the design, execution and measurement of vendor partnership strategies, with a tangible return on investment and/or measures of success which demonstrated value aligned with the business strategy.
* More than five years experience leading a team including:
* Managing talent by selecting staff and managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, and coaching employees.
* Provide leadership and achieve results by motivating self and others to overcome obstacles and build team cohesion.
* Prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.
* Experience designing, executing and measuring diversity strategies, including building relationships with key diversity organizations externally.
* Experience selecting and/or managing a contingent workforce managed service provider and vendor management system.
* Experience managing talent by selecting staff and managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, and coaching employees.
* Experience working in a regulated environment.
* Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and or influence various stakeholder groups to develop appropriate recruitment solutions for the company.
* Ability to provide leadership and achieve results by motivating self and others to overcome obstacles and build team cohesion.
* Ability to prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.
* Ability to create and maintain a safety conscious work environment.
* Must have strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
