POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate & Foundation Relations Manager is a key member of the Chapter’s fund development team, and is primarily responsible for revenue generation through effective development and management of sustainable relationships with corporate and foundation partners. The Corporate & Foundation Relations Manager secures gifts, grants, and sponsorships in support of Chapter events, programs, and organizational priorities.

This is a full-time position located in Lynnwood or Tukwila, Washington, and reports to the Director of Development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

 

     
  • Achieve annual sponsorship and foundation grants revenue goals.
  •  
  • Research, identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with corporations and foundations resulting in annual contributions, grants, program and event sponsorship, workplace giving, and/or other Alzheimer’s Association and/or Chapter initiatives.
  •  
  • Work with Board, Board Committee, and Regional Advisory Council members as appropriate to develop, implement, and coordinate strategies for outreach to community, corporate, and foundation leaders.
  •  
  • In partnership with Chapter and Home Office staff, manage all sponsorship asks to ensure appropriate outreach and follow-up with sponsors of fundraising events and conferences. 
  •  
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of all sponsorship benefits with focus on:
  •  
       
    • Achieve sponsorship goals for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s (16 Walks across Washington and Northern Idaho) in collaboration with events staff. 
    •  
    • Manage associated gift tracking, benefits delivery, stewardship and post-event reporting. 
    •  
     
  • Secure sponsors and exhibitors for the Discovery Alzheimer’s Regional Conference and manage all associated logistics, benefit delivery, stewardship, and post-event reporting.
  •  
  • Build strong relationships with companies, foundations, and organizations by attending and enhancing Alzheimer’s Association presence at networking, civic, and social events. 
  •  
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar for grant submissions to corporations, foundations, and government funders; research, write, and submit proposals; write and manage all reporting requirements for funders. 
  •  
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to meet application and reporting deadlines for funders. 
  •  
  • Participate as a Chapter representative in the National Corporate Initiatives Peer Group Program working collaboratively to create opportunities to enlist the support of companies, organizations, and employee champions to help move our cause forward. 
  •  
  • Work closely with Communications & Marketing Director to develop and coordinate messaging and materials for marketing, media, and website as appropriate for the Chapter’s corporate and foundation campaigns.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 
     
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of demonstrated success in institutional fundraising, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and foundation donors.
  •  
  • Proven track record in successful government and foundation grant-writing.
  •  
  • Proven experience securing $300,000 or more in sponsorships annually.
  •  
  • Excellent program management skills.
  •  
  • Excellent public speaking skills; must demonstrate an ability to represent the organization with poise, confidence and professionalism.
  •  
  • Excellent writing skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
  •  
  • Proficiency in using donor databases (Luminate Online, Team Approach).
  •  
  • Ability to analyze information and make timely, appropriate decisions.
  •  
  • Ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability.
  •  
  • High level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative.
  •  
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  •

  • Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance, and access to dependable automobile.
