Job Description:
Supervises and coordinates operations, staff and work activities of parking enforcement and tram operations. Develops work schedules and procedures. Prepares statistical and work reports for management.

Salary Range:
$36,360 per year

Essential Duties:

  • Supervises the activities of subordinates.
  • Creates route assignments for student staff drivers; maintain and update daily.
  • Communicates with drivers in the field to ensure assignments are completed
  • Drives a Golf Cart and picks up appointments, as needed
  • Completes and processes passenger intake applications
  • Ensures that clients understand the rules and regulations of DRC services
  • Processes, tracks and completes required medical documentation with passenger’s physician
  • Develops policies and procedures used in areas under supervision; obtains management approval when appropriate.
  • Performs vehicle (Golf Cart) inspections; tracks, schedules and monitors maintenance
  • Develops and submits to manager reports on area operations such as broken/repaired equipment, statistics on number of passengers, number of no shows, cancellations, etc.
  • Evaluates and resolves problems presented by staff or others.
  • Provides advice/consultation to groups or personnel such as the DRC staff.
  • Trains new personnel and/or provides training materials and leadership to others for training
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 10:00AM – 7:00PM

Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of clerical and administrative or related experience which includes one year lead experience and one year field operations experience; OR, Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field AND two years of related experience, which included one year supervision experience AND one year field operations experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Supervisory Principles and Practices
  • Basic mechanical skills to identify potential or existing vehicle problems with EZ Golf Carts
  • Experience working with Individuals with Disabilities
  • Experience in using database and basic computer knowledge
  • Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills

Working Environment:

  • Work performed is subject to extended periods of sitting and standing and may be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work performed is subject to extended periods using standard office equipment such as a computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse) inputting, reviewing and retrieving information; extended periods of viewing a monitor or screen; and using printer, fax, calculator, copier, and telephone.
  • Communicate both orally and in writing through email, print, phone, and web media with students, staff, faculty, and members of the public who interact with the Dean of Students Office.
  • Use independent judgement and critical thinking to make decisions, resolve problems and/or analyze data.
  • Professionally represent department/program.
  • Work collaboratively across various departments within the University as well as with diverse populations and groups.
  • Walk and/or drive a gold cart moderate distances across campus to fulfill duties, for meetings, or events, which may include times of inclement weather.
  • Drive a Golf Cart on Campuses.
