Job Summary:

We have an opportunity for a self-starting manager who enjoys working with people experiencing substance use disorder and/or other mental health challenges. The Clinical Manager will provide clinical oversight and supervision for direct services, case management services and intake and assessments for participants and their families.

Essential Functions

  •  Provide clinical oversight and supervision for clinical staff located at assigned sites
  • Apply      best practice standards and outcome measurements to provide leadership and      guidance to agency staff as related to clinical practices
  • Ensure      the delivery of trauma integrated services that are consistent with the Agency's      mission, goals, licensure rules, accreditation standards, and best      practices
  • Ability      to provide and document initial and ongoing assessments and other relevant      therapeutic services
  • Participate      in quality assurance and utilization review including admission, service      continuation, transition planning, and discharge reviews
  • Ensure      that participant records, treatment statistics, and other documentation      are maintained according to established standards to include the approval      of Treatment Plans and Assessments
  • Develop      and maintain effective working relationships with community agencies
  • Maintain      information on community resources for consumer assistance and support
  • Participate      in the oversight of the health, safety and welfare of consumers in the      treatment programs
  • Provide      back up to other outpatient staff as needed and/or as assigned
  • Other      duties as negotiated

 

Qualification Requirements

Credentials/Education/Experience:

  • Current      Arizona State Independent/Associate level Licensure in Social Work,      Counseling, Marriage and Family, and/or Substance Use
  • Master's      Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related human service      field
  • Two years      management experience
  • Bilingual      referred but not required
  • Current      and valid driver's license and certification in First Aid/CPR

Knowledge of:

  • Behavioral      health assessment and rehabilitation
  • Principles      and methods of psychosocial rehabilitation
  • Special      needs and characteristics of the client population
  • Counseling      principles and methods
  • Methods      used to prevent violent behavior or behavior harmful to the client or      others
  • Behavior      management in crisis situations
  • Indications,      common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications commonly      used by the client population
  • Where      to access resources for assistance
  • How      to document consumer activities and progress according to accepted professional      and agency standards

Skills:

  • Excellent      interpersonal and communication skills
  • Group      process and group facilitation
  • Ability      to develop and implement treatment plans within the framework of a      clinical team
  • Able      to develop classes that improves resiliency through specific content and      focus
  • Creative,      energetic, flexible and serve as a healthy role model for participants
