Assessments Project Specialist

BASIS Curriculum Private Schools seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to manage assessments for BASIS private schools (independent and international). Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum, the Assessments Project Specialist coordinates the scheduling, training, creation, quality control, and initial analysis of internal and external exams. The Assessments Project Specialist serves as support to school assessment teams who administer the exams (primarily Curriculum Coordinators, Directors of Academic Programs, and Heads of School) and liaison to Subject Advisors, Question Advisors, and external test developers who create the exams. Maintaining test security is the Assessment Project Specialist’s highest priority in all responsibilities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop testing schedules for each of the internal and external exams (ISA, BLTs, PreComprehensive and Comprehensive Exams, OECD Test for Schools, etc.)
  • Update coordinator/proctor manuals and maintain assessment resources in SharePoint
  • Conduct in-person and digital training for school assessment teams; provide in-person support for schools during testing when necessary
  • Manage GradeCam by providing user access and training, creating bubble sheets for exams, and trouble-shooting
  • Create deadlines for Subject Advisors to create exams; manage high-stakes exam proofing and editing
  • Conduct initial data analysis to determine validity of items, etc.
  • Manage item banks/assessment database, provide item-writing training
  • Support users in technical aspects of exam creation

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience managing simultaneous projects, including managing organization and timelines
  • Excellent business or technical writing skills
  • Experience in a school setting, with a preference for BASIS Curriculum Schools
