Provides leadership and operations management for all aspects of plant operations, construction management, grounds maintenance, security, safety and emergency preparedness, biomed and/or environmental services. Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital, department and safety policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements. The Director oversees all projects, both capital and in-house construction and turnover acceptance. Develops, implements and evaluates the department’s strategic and operation plan including continuous quality improvement, compliance with all regulatory agencies and fiscal management.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Five years of related experience.
- Three years of experience in facilities management and maintenance role in a hospital or health care setting.
- Progressive leadership experience (preferably in a health care setting).
- Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements including CMS, NFPA, OSHA and TJC EOC
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Bachelor degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field - preferred; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- CHFM Preferred
- Drivers License Required
Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
