To design, develop, administer, and direct programming and business development activities related to the Heart and Vascular Service Line across the assigned Centura Health Operating Group, in furtherance of the Group’s strategic goals. These activities include evaluating the components of services now available to identify gaps and barriers within the system, and developing processes with team members to reduce the gaps, overcome the barriers and provide the greatest accessibility within the catchment area. This position will be responsible for placing Centura as the leading choice of care for Heart and Vascular services within their respective market. This position will report to the Group VP Physician Executive, with a matrixed reporting relationship to the Group VP of Operations. Evaluation, process improvement, and business development activities will take place in a close working relationship with a dyad partner, the Group Medical Director of the Service Line, and through consultation with Centura strategic planning professionals and hospital executives. In this manner, the position will require strong skills in working within complex and matrixed health systems and in managing through influence. This position will play both a robust strategic role in ensuring program growth and viability, as well as a tactical role of ensuring that work processes are designed to produce high quality clinical outcomes in a cost-effective manner, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Participation in the leadership of clinical standardization and clinical value transformation activities across all assigned hospitals and their respective markets will be a critical aspect of this Group role. The Group Director will work collaboratively with the clinical teams throughout the assigned operating group within the Centura Health hospitals and Physician Enterprise, in order to provide the highest quality and appropriately accessible care to the communities we serve.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Bachelor's degree - Required.
- Master's degree in a health-related field or clinical discipline - preferred.
- 5 years of leadership experience within Cardiovascular Services in an acute care hospital and/or ambulatory center, with experience in physician relations, program development and strategic planning.
