Job Description
The role "Senior Advisor, Application support" is responsible for maintaining and supporting critical CVS Health Pharmacy systems and applications. Responsible for monitoring the systems, applications to meet the availability goals and to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction. Responsible for various aspects of event, incident, problem and change management. This role requires technical exposure in Unix, Middleware and Oracle database technologies.
This role will interact with development, solution architects, functional, performance test teams, shared services, business partners and vendors as part of supporting the pharmacy applications and systems. Required to be on call support 24x7 as needed on a rotation basis. Develop and implement technical solutions to help prevent incidents in a pro-active manner. Partner, collaborate with development and tier 1 support teams to triage events and incidents to achieve MTTR goals. Maintain and monitor daily / weekly batch jobs and programs in production environment. Participate in infrastructure maintenance and application releases. Maintain system support technical documentation. Adhere to all established methodologies, standards, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications
6+ experience with application supporting multi-tier applications on Unix platform
3+ years experience in web server (OHS), Middleware (Weblogic, JBoss, Informatica, Initiate, IBM MQ) and Oracle database technologies
2+ years experience with ITIL foundation
6+ years exposure to batch processing, monitoring technologies, trend analysis and developing automation scripts.
6+ years experience leading teams and coordinating with cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications
Pharmacy business knowledge with experience in managing healthcare applications.
Healthcare or Pharmacy background
experience with application support on multi-tier architecture
experience with event and incident management working across multiple teams.
experience with root cause identification and developing defect elimination plans.
experience with composing implementation plans and managing the successful execution of the plan
experience working in and/or leading dynamic cross-competency teams with issue resolution.
Demonstrated experience with Configuration Management, monitoring Tools and Documentation.
Demonstrated experience with creating system and workflow diagrams
Proven success with achieving highest levels of customer satisfaction Demonstrated team play skills to achieve organization goals.
Proven success with data and trend analytics
Demonstrated experience with prioritizing tasks and ability to multi-task with less supervision.
Possess reasoning and decision making skills in a fast paced environment.
Proven success interacting with various business teams to deliver business projects on time and budget
Experience with vendor management. Exposure to Kepner Tregoe - incident, change and problem management skills.
ITIL certification.

Bachelor degree in Engineering / computer Science - required
