Job Description
Senior Manager is accountable for the development, implementation, and support of a defined set of applications that support Benefit Creation and Management across Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) for CVS Health.

The Senior Manager will manage the relationship between IT and business area owners to ensure that the IT department is proactively identifying and providing strategic opportunities to advance the business goals of the area through automation. The Senior Manager will direct an organization of Product and Project owners, who identify, design and deliver technology solutions to achieve business results.

Senior Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Building a high performing team with technical, business, and communication skills needed to deliver on strategy and projects.
· Managing the relationship with customers and third-party vendors in their assigned business area
· Generating multi-year strategic roadmaps with the senior leaders for the key areas within the Benefits Automation to assist the business in increasing quality and productivity while decreasing costs and delivery time.
· Mentoring and training team members, periodically reviewing performance of team members, and driving hiring and terminating processes

Required Qualifications
8+ years of overall IT experience including leadership experience and the following:
- Proven leadership of multiple development teams utilizing software development life cycle (Agile, SCRUM)
- Experience with Enterprise applications, J2EE, Oracle, Websphere, x86 Infrastructions, AS400 Technologies
Experience with Benefits Administration Systems
- Experience with large enterprise applications with 99.99% Availability expectations
- Experience in the development and management of an annual budget

Demonstrated ability to express complex technical concepts effectively to senior leadership
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
- Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, follows through on and meets commitments
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
- Demonstrated ability of working with limited details to a project scope or design and can quickly communicate a clear understanding of the technical solution and an attainable plan to deliver.
- Ability to develop a team committed to quality and excellence
- Proven leadership skills around resource planning, delegating, estimating and prioritizing work.
- Understanding of IT security and compliance remediation activities.
- Demonstrated ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to audiences at senior leadership levels.
- Proven success maximizing the potential of employees via coaching and focused development.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field
