Job Description
The Tier-2 Advisor provides advanced leadership in AS400/iSeries software development and troubleshooting technologies, including Synon/2E, RPG ILE, COBOL, CL, SQL queries and debugging. The As400-Synon Advisor leads the team to resolve broad enterprise level IT support requests for the RxClaim PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Management) system within SLA. The As400-Synon Production Support Advisor makes an accurate assessment of the customer and Business request, researches functional and software design, and leads the team in providing detailed program/code level RCA (Root Cause Analysis) in a timely manner. The Advisor identifies workarounds, recommends design changes, and contributes to software fixes. The As400-Synon Production Support Advisor acts as the IT SME (Subject Matter Expert), guiding the team with software best practices, manages escalations and is the owner of support projects. Responsibilities also include collaborating with various teams to meet organizational goals, take preventative steps to improve stability, recommend improvements, document and coaches the team to maintain high-quality software support.

The As400- Synon Production Support Advisor should be available on-call to attend to urgencies and monitor system stability. This position has work from home eligibility for a strong candidate who can operate independently.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Production Support or Development of large applications on the As400/iSeries including Synon/2E.

5+ years of advanced software development and debugging experience in AS400/iSeries technologies, including RPG/ILE, COBOL, CL, Query & SQL and Synon/2E.

5+ years of experience in troubleshooting complex enterprise applications, collaborate and communicate effectively with different teams to provide prompt resolutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Functional knowledge of RxClaim or Pharmacy Benefits Management / Claims processing

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Will accept one year of experience for every year college not attained in addition to required years of experience.
