Are you an experienced Category Manager looking for an opportunity to take your career to the next level? CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for an innovative Category Manager to join a Fortune 7 Healthcare Company.

This position will focus on the Beauty and Personal Care Business and will lead assigned merchandise categories and their respective P&L’s. You will have a full scope of responsibility for attaining budgeted sales, gross margin, and building marketing plans within these businesses.

You will be responsible for achieving merchandising objectives as they relate to the overall CVS strategic plan. In this position you will lead and deliver sales and margin goals in assigned categories by driving key levers to include but not limited to: sales, contribution margin, inventory turns and GMROII; as well as managing all profit and loss information for the category.

You will also manage vendor relationships to include collaborative planning through joint annual business plans to drive sales and profit, product development, overall vendor profitability and business negotiations.

Other responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing category plans (i.e. plan optimal sku mix; ExtraCare loyalty programs; annual promotional programs for merchandising programs from 1 to 3 years out that reflect deep personal knowledge of our businesses, customers and clients.
* Continually sustaining a deep understanding of current competition; as well as searching out new competitive opportunities.
* Initiating and executing strategic promotional plans and marketing plans by collaborating internally with a team of CVS professionals (e.g. Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design and Store Operations).

Required Qualifications
* 6 or more years of experience in an analytical, merchandising and/or buying capacity with some management experience
* Ability to travel - 10%

Preferred Qualifications
* Corporate retail merchandising and/or buying experience
* Experience managing a retail Profit and Loss (P&L) statement
* Technical experience should include MS Office, Word,
Excel PowerPoint, knowledge of (Nielsen/IRI) market data, Access or other data base knowledge and planogram tools (Spaceman or Apollo)
* Demonstrated working experience in marketing strategies, vendor/product negotiations, assortment evaluation, promotional pricing, along with customer segmentation analysis
* Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
