CVS Health has a dynamic opportunity for a Director of Business Technology to join our dedicated team. The Director will lead a cross-functional team of motivated, high performing individuals with a diverse background. Business Technology provides critical services to Underwriting, Analytical Consulting Services and internal partners to lower their costs, maximize efficiency, create and service tools, and build and maintain appropriate infrastructure. They bring value to the bottom line through profit driving expansion of our products and services.
The Director of Business Technology is responsible for development and maintenance of Underwriting’s major profitability and pricing models including:
1) the governance of business assumptions, methodologies and enhancements
2) development and maintenance of application and model interfaces;
3) development and maintenance of databases and data models;
4) developing model integration with client contract pricing exhibits, fee schedules and implementation documents.

This role will guide and direct a highly skilled team in business process engineering, development methodology; scope of concept, business requirements, product quality and data modeling. They are entrusted with information security of highly sensitive and proprietary data, applications, models and assumptions.
The Director of Business Technology will lead a team of approximately 8 individuals containing 2 managers consisting of analysts, modelers, programmers, and technical application support specialists. They will direct, train and mentor employees in designing, developing, maintaining, optimizing and supporting core Finance and Proposals’ business systems, databases, and business intelligence reporting.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
Minimum of 8 years of application, database and/or programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management or Healthcare businesses.
Broad application of program management and software delivery life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Outstanding partnership, management and communication skills.
Close partnership and collaboration with Business Leaders.
Close partnership and collaboration with Information Technology.
Broad business acumen.
Extensive experience with Teradata, SQL Server or DB2
Extensive SAS programming experience.
Experience in Visual Studio, Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Access/Excel, .NET or R.
Experience with Salesforce or Apttus including X-Author.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications/MBA Degree preferred.
