Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and configuration of the enterprise level IT monitoring systems. Provide primary support on a M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required to fulfill business requirements.

Duties:
* Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently.
* Be responsible for the maintenance and configuration of the enterprise level IT monitoring system, IBM's ITM Netcool suite of products including ITM, ITCAM, TIP, and DASH and integration to enterprise alerting tool.
* Be involved in the design and implementation of IBM enterprise Monitoring solutions.
* Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system wide software.
* Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex system/application issues.
* Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
* Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
* Fundamental understanding of other monitoring tools like MicroFocus, AppD, and Dynatrace.
* On-call rotation for critical support.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of work experience in an enterprise monitoring environment required.

Preferred Qualifications
* IBM's ITM Netcool suite of products including NOI, TIP, DASH.
* Microfocus products.
* Experience in other enterprise monitoring tools a plus.
Strong knowledge in Netcool Omnibus, Impact, ITM and DASH.
* Knowledge and experience in architecting, design and implementation of IBM Enterprise Monitoring solutions.
* Excellent knowledge in Event Management process and should have experience in Integrating ITM, Netcool and ITCAM.
* Proficient in Tivoli Data Warehouse and creation of Tivoli Data Warehouse reports (SQL).
* Proficient in Tivoli Data Power (BN) and SOA (Services/D4) agents required.

* IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.3 or later
* ITCAM for WAS and MQ and DB2
* IBM Tivoli Omnibus 7.3/7.4
* ITM 6.2 Agent Builder
* xMatters or similar alerting tool
* AIX 6.1/7 in HACMP environments
* Red Hat Linux (RHEL 6/7)
* Vmware 5.5/6
* ksh/bash Shell Scripting
* Chef or similar automation tools a plus

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
