CVS Health has a dynamic opportunity for a Director Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting to join our dedicated Finance Asset Analytics & Insights team. As the Director of Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting on the Asset Analytics & Insights Team you will be responsible for the financial strategy for the department. You will set the course for all Budgeting and Forecasting activities for the team, working in both Front Store and Pharmacy. You will be instrumental in working through executive messaging for all budgets and forecasts, and in understanding and explaining trends impacting results. You will manage and develop a team of managers and analysts and will partner with senior leadership in setting direction, goals, and priorities for the function and the team. You will lead the team in the creation of accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting of asset losses as well as department capital and expenses. You will also be crucial in bringing productivity into the process. You will ensure accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting and that related analytics / drivers to support business-critical decisions are understood and tracked continuously. You will take the lead in creating budget and forecasting packages for senior leadership. You will also oversee the Asset Analytics & Insights reporting function.
The Director must be able to multi-task and work effectively toward deadlines and partner both horizontally and vertically within Asset Analytics & Insights Team and across other functions. Accuracy and timeliness are critical to this role. Must be a naturally curious self-starter who is willing to take risks. The Director should have prior experience with executive messaging and working with upper levels of leadership.
Other responsibilities for the Director of Finance role include but are not limited to:
- Creating measures to ensure accuracy in the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Triangulating data to determine appropriate path
- Creating front store and pharmacy shrink budget and forecast packages for senior leadership
- Partnering with the larger Finance team to ensure alignment with budget and forecast thinking
- Ensuring budgeting and forecasting processes are well documented with detailed procedures
- Representing Asset Analytics & Insights on cross-functional teams
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting, redesigning reporting and optimizing as needed
- Taking the lead in support of ad hoc projects
The successful Director will possess the following skills:
- Ability to partner well across large enterprises
- Ability to effectively communicate - oral and written, across many levels of the organization including senior management
- Strong PC skills, including extensive knowledge of Excel and strong PPT skills, Access skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years budgeting and forecasting experience
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience managing support staff

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Retail industry experience preferred
- Tableau and SQL experience preferred

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required
