As the Market Strategy Senior Advisor you will play a key role within the Enterprise Market Strategy team, effectively using cross-functional partnerships throughout CVS Health’s business units including Caremark (PBM), CVS pharmacy, MinuteClinic, Specialty and Omnicare. You will focus on developing and executing presentations for actionable insights and strategic approaches, by monitoring and assessing existing and emerging competitive and market dynamics to diagnose key opportunities for existing and new business growth.

In this role you will be:
- Analyzing industry trends, customer needs, market and competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance and positioning
- Driving influence to our key business strategies to compete and grow effectively through a Strong foundational understanding and application of PBM pricing dynamics
- Planning fact-based scenarios on where CVS Health can expect to compete more aggressively based on current and future market, competitive dynamics
- Conducting primary and secondary research to understand competitor business models and selling strategies and assessing this knowledge against CVS Health offerings and capabilities
- Crafting and delivering regular competitor updates via strategic profiles and competitor briefings to key partners that effectively establish logical frameworks, communicate key findings, and summarize insights, implications, and recommendations
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external partners through demonstrated execution of competitive intelligence and strategy development standard methodologies

Your success will be guided by your strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry’s segments (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange) and partners (Health Plans, Employers, Providers, Consumers, Government Regulators), as well as an understanding of the evolving interactions between those partners. Another critical component of your success will be dependent on internal relationships and using enterprise solutions. You will also need to utilize your deep understanding of the enterprise assets that CVS Health possesses, and how those assets align to the needs of different client and prospect segments. You will be collaborating very closely with client account teams, sales leadership, and cross-functional partners and you will need to use your demonstrated experience interpreting and translating market dynamics and client objectives/needs into strategic and tactical opportunities. As part of this these objects, executive communication will be key to gain internal alignment and education.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of related market strategy experience within the healthcare field is required.
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications
* Payor (Health Plan, Employer, Government), PBM and/or Provider experience is strongly preferred
* Consulting experience preferred
* Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and self-motivation to think creatively and stimulate innovation
* Results-oriented, and able to convince leaders and partners of his/her value, earn their trust and time, and work collaboratively to build and deliver actionable strategies
* High-level of skill and experience required in process definition, often in ambiguous situations
* Possesses the ability to break down complex problems into discrete analytical questions and then guide a team to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to drive design choices
* Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of constituents, both verbally and on paper, at all levels of the organization (in particular, PowerPoint presentations)

* Bachelor’s Degree is required, a combination of education and work experience may substitute
* Masters Degree is preferred
