CVS Health has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Pharmacy Operations Director.

As the Director of Operations you will manage the ongoing, day-to-day activities of regional employees and programs. The Director is responsible and accountable for all regional operational issues, will be readily accessible to pharmacy staff, and participates in departmental long-range planning. The Director demonstrates leadership and commitment to total quality management including customer satisfaction and performance improvement. The Director of Operations adheres to and support all departmental policies, procedures and initiatives.

Operational Responsibility
* Oversees specialty business operations including financial (P&L) responsibility and accountability for territory.
* Sets goals, strategies and expectations for retention of existing business and achieving growth imperatives.
* Participates in annual budgeting process
* Accountable for Loss Prevention activity including investigations of unexplained losses; monitors for LP compliance. Oversees and audits physical inventories at each site
* Participates in third party contracting and plan implementation for manual and 340b programs
* Follows up and monitors all outstanding including third party collections for delinquent manual payers
* Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and accreditation standards. Reviews and monitors dispensing incidents
* Follows up and resolves all customer service issues and complaints within 24 hours.
* Ensures adequate staffing based on business volume and staffing model. Reviews payroll for each store weekly and monitor use of overtime and temp employees.
* Prepares capital expenditure requests as necessary and oversees relocation, remodels, new pharmacy openings and closings.
* Participates in mid to long range strategic planning for business
* Performs duties in accordance established SOPs and aligned with the core values of the company and in the best interest of our customers.

Human Resources
* Accountable for recruitment and selection of PICs and pharmacists
* Develops and mentors managers and others for succession planning
* Provides clear goals and ensures appropriate access to training, coaching, feedback and ensures effective formal and informal performance management
* Completes performance evaluations, determines performance-based rewards, compensation and incentive pay
* Ensures roll outs of clinical and other programs to the field get executed on effectively and promptly

Business Development
* Oversees operational implementation of new business contracts
* Partners with corporate and sales managers on strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Ability to assess processes efficiency and implement process improvement.
- Ability to manage performance through motivation, coaching, formal and informal feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively and align team to achieve corporate initiatives.
- Travel may be required.
- Pharmacy License is required.

Preferred Qualifications
15 yrs or greater total years of experience preferred with demonstrated successful leadership experience.
Previous management experience will include management of professionals and support staff across multiple sites. Must have experien

B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree is required.
Graduate degree (e.g., M.S., M.B.A.) in a related field is desirable.
