Job Description
This position requires management of the RX Personalization Lab for Enterprise Analytics. It includes decision making authority over analytic platform development and the coordination of the roadmap and delivery of the personalization lab analytic support model. This role is critical to driving 10M in script growth for 2019 with growth target of 30M by 2021.

The Senior Director of Retail Pharmacy Personalization Data and Analytics will lead an advanced multi-level team of colleagues to design, build, and scale cutting-edge data science and data engineering approaches to enable the vision for Personalization of the Retail Pharmacy at CVS Health. They will guide and execute the end-to-end data and analytics strategy for the Retail Pharmacy Personalization effort, including data acquisition, data ETL, machine learning model development, test and learn approach, and model scaling into production.

Responsibilities:
-Leads the development and delivery of the analytic support model for the personalization lab that supports a goal of 10M in new scripts in 2019 and 30M in new scripts by 2021 including advancing the application of cutting edge analytic approaches to personalization.

-Oversees the reporting strategy for the personalization lab in coordination with the Enterprise Analytics Sr. Director of Reporting Strategy and Portfolio Management Specialty to define roadmap and deliver innovative reporting solutions.

-Collaborates with business leaders from Retail, Minute Clinic, and PBM as well as the SVP of Retail Systems and VP of Retail Analytics to define the data and analytics roadmaps required to support the Personalization effort.

-Provides oversight and development of standard operating procedures to ensure analytic rigor, outcomes, quality and appropriate data handling are followed for all analytic personalization lab deliverables.

-Defines the investments in underlying data and analytics technology that are required to deliver on analytic priorities for the personalization lab in coordination with Enterprise Analytics Data Strategy and Data Engineering lead. Works with IT to ensure execution of identified strategies and foster adoption of new technology and capabilities that advance the overall analytics capability of the personalization lab.

-Script Growth: The person will have overall responsibility for the analytics within the personalization lab that is signed up to drive 10M new scripts in 2019 and 30M by 2021

Required Qualifications
-8 to 10 years related work experience
-Deep understanding of pharmacy and patient data, and ability to identify new ways to utilize existing data, as well as identify important gaps in current data collection approaches
-Good understanding of the pharmacy business and the patient journey; ability to translate this understanding into data and analytics-based solutions that enable CVS Health to impact the patient and other stakeholder experience
-Creative and open mind, with a strong vision for retail pharmacy personalization; demonstrated ability to generate first-of-their-kind solutions and challenge the status quo
-Experience leading 10+ person teams of data scientists and data engineers to deliver large projects on aggressive timelines
-Fluent in translating high-level business goals into technical specs and communicating low-level technical concerns about implementation back to business leaders
-Proven ability to successfully balance near-term results (e.g. ability to design and execute on a ‘MVP’ model), with long-term goals
-The ideal candidate is a collaborative thought partner and possesses a high emotional intelligence and an exceptional ability to collaborate and partner with other business teams and executives.
-Proven track record working in matrix organizations to deliver innovative, and advanced analytic and data solutions in fast-paced, ever changing environment
-Ability to influence and drive collaboration at all levels within the organization. Proven ability to influence key stakeholders. Proven ability to drive meaningful change and innovation. This individual must be able to communicate confidently and effectively with business partners, project team members, senior management, executive management and clients.
-History of delivering large-scale projects on-time and on-target

Preferred Qualifications
-10 to 15 years related work experience

Education
Bachelor Degree required
Masters Degree preferred.
