The retail pharmacy industry is rapidly shifting to an environment where our pharmacy teams are providing clinical services beyond the traditional scope of pharmacy practice. CVS Pharmacy is working to lead this change.

This role will focus on developing a detailed strategy to redefine the practice of our retail pharmacies through the expanded scope of practice.

As a Sr. Advisor, you will be expected to contribute to a high-energy team that is motivated by the opportunity to reinvent pharmacy and drive better health outcomes for our patients and clients while realizing financial results for CVS Health. To reshape the industry and allow our pharmacy teams the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, we will need to fully leverage the assets of the entire CVS Health Enterprise, collaborate in a matrixed environment with our Analytics, MinuteClinic, Regulatory and Government Affairs partners, develop and test to prove the value of innovative strategies to drive results and then operationalize these strategies across our ~10,000 pharmacies and other enterprise assets.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop a detailed strategic plan to position CVS Pharmacy as the industry leader in expanding the scope of pharmacy services, thereby unlocking value for CVS Pharmacy patients and other enterprise stakeholders. This will involve executing complex analyses and synthesizing information from a broad range of resources including internal and external stakeholders, information on industry trends, health care policy resources, operational experts, market data, competitive information, etc.
2. Lead team members to execute complex analyses to evaluate financial and labor impact, identify testing opportunities and outcomes, etc. in support of the broader strategic plan.
3. Play a leading role in developing business relationships to understand and influence stakeholder perspectives in support of the development of the strategic plan
4. Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written, and synthesize information from disparate sources into a compelling story to facilitate action.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a relevant role in healthcare with demonstrated experience developing strategic plans supported by rigorous analyses

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/MIS or related field., MPH, MS or MBA preferred.
A deep understanding of the Retail Pharmacy business, healthcare marketplace and an understanding of health care policy.
Proficiency and understanding in data analysis and management tools, including SAS, SQL, Microstrategy.
Ability to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources.
Developing innovative analytic approaches leveraging all available internal and external data sources.
Thinks and acts strategically, is able to diagnose and implement solutions for complex problems.
The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and on paper.
The ability to foster effective working relations with and persuade diverse leaders and colleagues based on fact and reason with an emphasis on achieving tangible results.

Education
Bachelor’s degree is required.
