Are you passionate about data AND helping patients improve their health? Consider the position of Senior Advisor, Strategic Analytics, where your work directly informs the design and evaluation of patient care programs and services as well as new health service offerings in our CVS retail stores. As a key member of the Enterprise Evaluation and Population Health Analytics team, you will design evaluations, perform data management and analysis, and translate results into actionable intelligence for our business partners.

As a Senior Advisor, you will spearhead analytics for a suite of new, innovative intervention studies to maximize quality and patient health outcomes and minimize costs, including readmission prevention, adherence, and care management. These studies are at the forefront of CVS Health and Aetna’s combined health care vision. Other work includes studying care programs for patients in retail pharmacies, PBMs, Minute Clinics, long-term care facilities, and health systems. We also work with partners in digital services, infusion care, and specialty pharmacy to optimize patients’ clinical outcomes and care quality. Our team’s broad portfolio ensures that each member of our team can grow his/her knowledge and expertise across CVS Health.

The successful Senior Advisor will translate business needs into analytic questions, design and conduct rigorous analyses of pharmacy claims, medical claims and other data, and translate analytic findings into actionable intelligence for our business partners.

Key job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Constructing and manipulating large electronic claims datasets using SAS, SQL, R, Python and/or other related software.
- Conducting extensive data analyses, ranging from descriptive reports to multivariate regression, survival analysis, and predictive modeling
- Developing study designs and analytic solutions based on available data sources, business partners’ needs, and timelines
- Managing multiple projects related to a wide variety of business settings and clinical needs
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and define analytic workstreams
- Presenting analytic findings in a variety of formats (reports, PPT, graphs, figures and tables), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting the results to non-analytic audiences

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in an analytical role
- Excellent proficiency in SQL, SAS,and/or similar software for data access, manipulation, and analysis
- 2+ years of experience independently leading workstreams, projects, or teams
- Demonstrated success in delivering data-driven insights addressing business strategy problems
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to construct analytic solutions to problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to interact with and influence decision-making by non-analytical business audiences

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience analyzing electronic healthcare claims data
- Experience developing program evaluation protocols, including study population selection and defining matching criteria

Education
Bachelor’s Degree. Major in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related STEM field. Advanced degree a plus.
