Sr. Advisor, Analytics

Lead data strategy and descriptive analytics work that incorporate all of the stakeholders’ requests and delivery methods. Build strong working relationships and deliver on individual commitments. Take data stewardship in improving the quality and usage of data in Enterprise Data Warehouse and source systems, and ensuring high levels of data quality in source systems and data warehouse platforms across the enterprise. Analyze, evaluate, test, and participate in designing the integration of multiple data sources into the data warehouse, remediation of data deficiencies in warehouse environments using Teradata SQL, and SAS. Proactively interact with business users and gather business requirements for converting them into functional and technical documents. Utilize strong communication skills and understanding of data modeling concepts to collaborate with members of the business, operations and IT teams in order to understand requirements and research data anomalies and to ensure consistency and quality. Develop and test newly functionality to ensure the highest level of data quality exists upon delivery. Scope, plan, and perform a quantitative analysis that will yield critical answers to the questions at hand. Take initiative with a critical business problem and use data-driven insights to inform future strategies. Evaluate various analytic solutions/products of external vendors which are already used in various industries. Evaluate new trends in analytics domain and develop appropriate use cases for machine learning, data science etc. & recommend their adoption in CVS Health. Morph between the role of "player" or "coach" depending on team needs. The "player" role could range from conducting ad hoc data pulls via CVS databases to creating one-off slides for leadership updates, while "coaching" could include overseeing work done by other team members and promoting analytics best practice across the broader team.
Minimum Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems/Management, or closely related field and three (3) years of experience with health care data analytics. Must also have three (3) years of experience with SQL Query; SAS/Teradata programming; Tableau development; Project Management; Analytic and Reporting Methodology Development; and Analytics Results Presentation. Experience need not be gained post-Master’s. Less than 5% domestic travel required for training and business meetings. Must Apply by 10/15/2020.
