Would you like to join Fortune 5 CVS Health leading our dynamic and growing Trade relations team? As a Senior Director of Trade Relations, Value Based Contracting and Health Economics you will assist the Trade Relations VP in the development of clinically sound management strategies, including value based strategies and the engagement with pharmaceutical manufacturers necessary to support them.

You will direct and cultivate a team of top-tier Trade professionals in setting and enabling pharmaceutical procurement strategies that directly supply to the bottom line of a Fortune 7 organization. This will include strategic engagement with CVS Medical Affairs on the identification and development of strategies, and partnering with the Trade negotiations teams to assess the implication and opportunities within clinical guidance. You will also drive value based agreements and concepts, both externally with manufacturers and internally, driving the measurement and evaluation of complex economics in key pharmacy and medical benefit areas.

Additionally, you will oversee the assessment of manufacturer proposed value based contracts, monitor industry pipelines and clinical trends, assess the implications and opportunities in utilization management strategies on unit costs, and move internal analyses beyond simple unit cost evaluation to more fully assess clinical practices, and both patient and indication-level utilization patterns.

This position is highly transparent to senior partners. You are responsible for negotiations on high-dollar contracts that contribute to the continued success of CVS Health.

Required Qualifications
You will have a minimum 12 years’ experience in managed-care which may include PBM or specialty pharmacy or health plan practice.

You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience identifying and assessing the clinical and operational viability of management strategies in the Healthcare or PBM industry.

You will have experience driving the assessment of complex clinical therapies, particularly as it pertains to management challenges and opportunities, and the examination of costs beyond simple unit costs.

You will have experience in engaging with and influencing senior internal and external leaders.

You will have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.

You will travel up to 25 % of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
15+ years clinical pharmacy experience in the clinic, hospital, managed care or manufacturer setting with experience in formulary assessment, utilization management and health outcomes.

You will have extraordinary presentation and public speaking skills.

You will have a strategic vision and critical thinking capacity.

You will have the creative ability to work in various locations across key business units.

Education
PharmD required. Residency, fellowship or advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences or health outcomes preferred.
