Responsible for leading assigned supply chain management initiatives. Researches, analyzes and prepares recommendations and business justifications related to supplier proposals for the procurement of aircraft spare parts, and other goods and services as required to support an airline operation.  Negotiates terms consistent with commercial and technical objectives.

Accomplishes responsibilities by coordinating with internal customers to determine requirements, issuing Requests For Proposal (RFPs), assessing viability of supplier proposals, and preparing recommendations to department management for target outcomes and specific action plan.  Negotiates commercial and technical terms.  Maintains beneficial commercial relationships with assigned suppliers, develops and implements procedures consistent with contractual obligations, monitors contractual entitlements and obligations, and negotiates resolution of commercial issues, claims, or disputes.  Performs all required functions to deliver measurable and tangible results. Responsible for handling, processing, and protecting confidential data while representing the company and department in a professional, ethical manner.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment, possess the ability to prioritize tasks and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives, handle multiple projects concurrently, and have a proven ability to follow-up and complete projects with minimal supervision. Must be able to report to work regularly and on-time.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel to be confirmed through a skills exercise

  • Advanced experience using MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Two years' purchasing experience

  • Experience with problem solving, forecasting, and advanced financial analytical skills

  • Experience sorting, organizing, analyzing and presenting large data sets

  • Possess effective communication skills both oral and written

  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language

  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States

  • Ability to travel occasionally


Position Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or other related field

  • Experience with aircraft components

  • Experience with analytics and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Cognos

  • Previous negotiating experience highly preferred


Additional Position Details

  • Candidates must fulfill a fingerprint based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Candidates must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, in addition to clearing other airport related requirements, if applicable.
  • This position may be subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT). Federal law requires Envoy to determine a candidate’s history with the DOT drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position.
