Position Summary

As Chief Academic Officer, the Vice President of Academic Affairs provides leadership and administrative oversight to the college academic departments and academic support services. The position plans, directs and evaluates college instructional offerings to meet student, community, and industry needs including college transfer and career and technical education at two campus locations. The Vice President provides oversight for institutional and specialized accreditation; coordinates college curriculum development; assures compliance with all external regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility and promotes innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The position reports to the college president, manages a budget of $38 million, has four direct reports and leads 276 residential and 600 adjunct faculty.


This VP position is a non-classified position that will have a contract.  Any internal hires waive their rights to classified employment by accepting the position.
