  • Overview

    The Consumer Services Program Manager coordinates and manages information related to multiple complex initiatives, defects, and cross-functional business processes. This manager organizes system-related enhancement information, documents business need assessments, and communicates across departments with an eye for upstream and downstream impacts. The Program Manager works collaboratively with US and Canadian stakeholders on system integration projects and interacts with all levels of management and departments across the organization.



    • Support cross-functional operational resources engaged in gathering requirements, documenting business processes, user acceptance testing, and implementing system enhancements to handle escalated issue identification and problem research
    • Document and organize information related to servicing system issues and fixes based on legal, compliance, and financial risk while evaluating cross-functional impacts
    • Work closely with IT, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders to address defect resolution, system enhancements, and effective business processes across the full GM Financial product line, including consumer and commercial loans and leases
    • Coordinate systems issues lists with IT to clarify and classify known and new system issues
    • Identify internal and external opportunities, tools, and programs that will increase operational efficiencies
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of system enhancements and deployed fixes into established operational processes
    • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Pricing and Finance departments to ensure the organization's systems and processes produce desired business results
    • Promote a cooperative and productive work environment



    • Understanding of the company’s business model, practices, and strategic direction
    • Working knowledge of the financial industry and regulatory compliance of applicable state and federal lending laws
    • Working knowledge of GM Financial tools and systems
    • Knowledge of an appropriate framework for analysis, judgment and logic when solving problems and making decisions


    • Ability to coordinate, develop, and manage relationships with internal and external partners
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
    • Well-organized, flexible, and able to work under pressure
    • Ability to independently make effective decisions and to respond quickly and accurately as issues arise
    • Display commitment to continuous improvement of business, customer, and team member environments
    • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
    • Ability to track and implement multiple simultaneous initiatives and provide reporting on multiple projects


    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred


    • Experience with process development and implementation preferred
    • Experience organizing and reporting on multiple projects at various stages preferred
    • Experience working across multiple departments preferred
    • Experience in consulting with stake holders and developing actions plans based on stake holder’s needs preferred

    Work Conditions
