  • Overview

    The Vice President of Security Administration and Planning will provide strategic leadership and support for Corporate Security-related functions and projects throughout the company's operational footprint. This will include providing direct support to the SVP Corporate Security with the assessment, development, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise-wide security initiatives. The VP is also responsible for oversight of the administrative functions of the Corporate Security organization with emphasis on budget development and management, strategic leadership of the department's Shared Services function, management of third-party contracts for security-related goods and services, departmental data analysis and reporting, and the oversight of capital projects. The VP will also assist the SVP Corporate Security with governance of the enterprise security risk management (ESRM) framework to include anticipated projects in support of International Operations.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Develop preliminary budget proposal submission for Corporate Security groups in accordance with annually published schedules
    • Provide department-level oversight for vendor performance associated with third-party contracts for all security-related services
    • Provide support to departmental AVPs with the development of appropriate KPIs
    • Provide review and oversight of security projects, scopes and schedules and serve as the department's primary liaison to the Project Management Office within ITS
    • Establish and effectively leverage partnerships with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors; ensure the most cost-effective methods are being employed to perform work / services
    • Implement a vendor performance review process for compliance with contract provisions, procedures, quality control and to identify improvement opportunities
    • Perform in-depth analysis of proposed department initiatives as assigned
    • Develop detailed executive-level presentation material utilizing MS Office suite programs
    • Review all Statements of Work and vendor proposals for accuracy and completeness prior to the development of Purchase Requisitions
    • Provide strategic oversight of the Corporate Security Shared Services group and its functional areas, to include Travel Security and Safety; Mail Services; Parking Administration, Conference Room Management, and Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Prioritize capital expenditures on both an annual and five-year forecasted basis
    • Monitor and evaluate operations and budget expense on an ongoing basis
    • Mentor AVPs and emerging leaders within the Corporate Security organization to foster their professional growth and development
    • Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors and partner organizations
    • Lead the establishment of data metrics and KPI development to allow for the analysis and assessment of Corporate Security-provided services
    • Serve as departmental liaison to International Operations as assigned
    • Foster a professional environment that enables all team members to develop and contribute to their fullest potential
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Conform with all corporate policies and procedures

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • In-depth knowledge of contemporary security processes and principles
    • Knowledgeable regarding best practices in security administration and its associated functions, ie budgeting, planning, resource allocation, project management
    • Advanced knowledge of various computer applications and programs

    • Strong leadership, management and administrative skills that produce effective operations and an engaging workplace culture
    • Ability to effectively lead, organize, and supervise across a multi-functional team and collaborate effectively with other departmental leaders

    Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    • Reputation and track record for inspiring and managing a diverse professional staff in a multi-functional unit with a strong commitment to customer service
    • Experience planning and implementing change programs and service delivery models, with an appreciation for balancing approaches and initiatives that meet short-term and long-term needs
    • Previous supervisory experience required
    • Professional certification in a relevant security or business discipline preferred
    • Membership and active affiliation with professional industry organizations, (eg ASIS, ISMA) preferred

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Administration, Security Management, Business Administration or related discipline required

    Experience

    • Greater than 10 years increasingly responsible experience in the field of Security Administration, Security Management, Law Enforcement Administration or related field required
