Job Profile

Reporting to the SVP, Medical Affairs, the Vice President, Medical Affairs provides focused executive leadership to Community's Utilization Management (UM) and Care/Disease Management (CM) programs. The position ensures the efficient operation of these programs, including pre-authorizations of medical services, concurrent review of hospital admissions, and coordination on Peer related interactions to support the UM activities. The VP-Medical Affairs leads the ongoing development and facilitation of Care/Disease Management programs appropriate to Community's covered populations. This position plays a key role on Community's Executive Leadership team participating in organization-wide strategy development and decision making.


  • BSN required.
  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Business Administration or Medical Administration preferred.
  • Seven years clinical experience
  • Five years in leadership positions.
  • Three years experience in leadership in Managed Care.
