Job Description

Manage Human Resources programs such as recruiting/employment, compensation, benefits, worker's compensation, labor and employee relations, employee recognition programs and training for hotel employees. Ensure policy compliance, support Mr. C's initiatives, and promote a positive employee culture.


Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    -Actively participate in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the hotel, including budgeting and forecasting, ensuring the delivery of our environmental commitments, overseeing the health, safety and security of our leaders and colleagues.
    -Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their team-oriented targets via effective organizational development, policy and procedural development, and appropriate training activities.
    -Demonstrate to guests and colleagues a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of Mr. C Hotels Core Values.
    -Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.
    -Assess organizational needs and develop strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, administration, health and safety and colleague wellness to leverage human capital.
    -Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Talent & Culture office, focusing on maximizing the capabilities of the team by reviewing the coordination of initiatives and activities and providing regular coaching and performance development opportunities.
    -Advise and assist with the interpretation and consistent application of Tale & Culture policies and procedures, applicable employment legislation at the local, state, and national level.
    -Counsel and coach on job related issues, career development, performance management and conflict resolution.
    -Ensure a strong Health and Safety culture, directing and overseeing workplace safety programs to ensure regulation compliance, employee awareness and an accident free workplace.
    -Organize employee events and activities.
    -Other duties as assigned

This is the top Human Resources position in a medium full-service, luxury, hotel, or major flagship hotel with multiple facilities and services & outlets, including high-volume catering and meeting facilities and deals with advanced-level HR matters.
