Position Overview

Under the strategic direction of the VP of eCommerce, the Manager of eCommerce will help steward the execution of best in class eCommerce digital activities across the Northwood Hospitality portfolio of hotels in accordance with individual property business plans and corporate goals. The Manager will ensure that all efforts are made to execute and optimize ecommerce marketing initiatives to efficiently maximize online-direct revenue generation. This position heavily collaborates with property DOSMs, DORMs, GMs, and external digital vendors to ensure work completion is consistent with departmental and corporate policies and procedures. This role will be comfortable making data-driven decisions, recommending and implementing strategies that achieve measurable results, driving towards marketing team goals.

Primary Relationships

* This position reports to the Vice President of eCommerce
* This position has primary working relationships across both home office and hotel level(s); including Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales & Marketing and General Managers at individual hotels.

Primary Functions

Manage the execution of multilateral projects assigned by the VP of eCommerce or other senior leaders from strategy development through to execution, and analysis.

* Content and Systems Management

* Email: Actively manage and execute best in class email marketing campaigns, including content calendar development, segmentation list building (pre/post stay, promotional, special targeting), proper deployment, CAN-SPAM law compliance, tracking, and others as needed.
* Social Media: Assist in the management and development of content calendars, themes, and brand pillars. Assist in post and community management where needed.
* CMS Management: Responsible for process oversight with hotels and technical maintenance. Conduct quarterly trainings, ensure proper tag management system maintenance, 3rd party widget management and others as assigned. Assist with direct content upload as needed.
* Oversee management of the Digital Asset Manager, which includes organization of images, ad creative, emails, etc.
* CRM database management: Manage and improve database health and growth on an on-going basis. Ensure GDPR and CCPA compliance.

* Digital Performance Management

* Proactively manage ecommerce performance campaigns on behalf of properties for the highest and most efficient revenue generation possible.
* Through the analyzation and interpretation of data, make thoughtful and impactful tactical optimizations in collaboration with various stakeholders.
* Communication Management

* Serve as liaison between hotels and corporate team to execute sound digital strategies designed to efficiently grow revenue that supports property and corporate level business objectives.
* Ability to efficiently manage social and digital performance agencies and work as a liaison between home office and properties.
* Data analytics/reporting

* In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, develop and manage clear and concise performance reporting.
* Manage report delivery as designed by VP of eCommerce or other key stakeholders.
* Budget Management

* Responsible for precise budget management ensuring property budgets are being efficiently spent by digital partners.
* Directly responsible for PO creation and invoicing.
* Administrative

* Maintain key eCommerce/marketing SOP, resource guides and training documentation.
* Stay up to date on the latest trends in digital marketing.
* Travel to hotel properties as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

* 5-7 years of digital marketing or eCommerce experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA a plus
* Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
* Strong attention to detail, ability to work across all levels of any program and process
* Use of strong communication skills to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units
* Experience creating and/or improving digital marketing operational processes across teams/stakeholders
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
* Natural curiosity to learn and grow
* Self-starter
