* The Day-to-Day

The Guest Services Manager/Front Office Manager is responsible for the success of the front desk, for ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met, and for managing all areas of the hotel according to Brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality. S/he must consistently lead through the principles of servant leadership.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:
* Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest services in responding promptly to guest needs;
* Ensures all front desk staff knows and understands the components of guest services and are trained to satisfy the most discerning guest;
* Develop value adds to existing departmental initiatives;
* Exceed hotel guest satisfaction measures;
* Acts as manager on duty for hotel and manages front desk operations;
* Assist in Revenue Management functions as requested;
* Produce accurate financial reports on time.
* Works with the General Manager and Sales Manager / DOS to generate new business ideas to increase sales, set up rate codes and input rooming lists;
* Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management;
* Help develop management talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports;
* Ensure completion of training objectives and development plans;
* Monitor and maintain acceptable turnover levels;
* Recognize and take appropriate steps to correct potential safety hazards in the hotel;
* Recognize and correct potential security problems in the hotel, such as locking doors after hours, etc.;
* Understand and follow policies and procedures for the hotel's key control system and ensures others follow them;
* Periodically inspect rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (see below)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
