Job Description

The Home2 Suites by Hilton near UCF main campus, is seeking candidates for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor.This position will work 2 days opening and closing the department and overseeing the work of Room Attendants. The other 3 shifts, if Full Time desired will be working as Room Attendant, Houseperson and/or assist in any other area of the housekeeping department.
Hotel housekeeping experience is needed. Excellent customer service skills and previous supervisory experience desired.

Assists with the operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum service quality. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel including rooms and public areas.

- Maintains cleanliness for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that the standards are met.
- Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
- Assists in supervision of employees in housekeeping department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations' policies and applicable laws in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Supervisory responsibilities include training employees, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Duties:

- Problem Solving- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Develops alternative solutions, uses reason at all times. Makes timely decisions while exhibiting sound judgment. Includes appropriate people in decision making process.
- Project Management- Prepares and supports those affected by change, monitors transition, and evaluates results.
- Customer Service- Maximize Customer Service by assisting in attaining 80% or better on Franchise Guest Service Scores. Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance. Plans work schedules and room assignments with minimum disruption to guests.
- Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Communicates change effectively. Communicates changes in room status to the front desk.
- Team Work-Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
- Quality Management- Assists in achieving BLA minimum scoring standard on all Brand Quality Assurance inspections. Must maintain 80% or higher on Franchise product quality scoring. Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and preventative maintenance upkeep on a daily basis. Assists in supervision of special projects and deep cleanings.
- Adaptability- Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, changing approach or method to best fit a situation.
- Initiative- Assists in delegating work assignments, setting expectations and monitoring delegated activities. Asks for and offers help when needed.
- Safety and Security- Uses ongoing safety training to minimize workers compensation claims.
- Compliance- Maintains key control and lost and found and ensures staff is trained to follow correct procedures for both.
- Business Acumen- Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures staff follows proper inventory cost control procedures.
- Dependability- Is consistently at work and on time. Arrives at scheduled meetings and appointments on time. Is able to meet the demands of the industry with regard to working holidays and weekends.
