Job Description

GENERAL DUTIES:


    -Manage the daily
    activities of the Housekeeping department.
    -Establish schedule and
    plan daily work assignments.
    -Planning, organizing and
    directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
    -Train and coach
    employees in laundry and housekeeping
    -Purchase, re-order and
    maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
    -Conduct inspections of
    all rooms and public areas.
    -Recruit, schedule and
    train all new housekeeping staff members.
    -Maintain the
    housekeeping budget, including payroll.
    -Develop and train staff
    on policy.
    -Uphold the highest
    standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
    -Ensures the proper
    maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement
    of used and damaged equipment.
    -Ensure all operational
    and safety procedures are properly followed.
    -Fulfill
    guest requests such as additional towels, amenities, etc.
    -Report
    room deficiencies such as electrical, mechanical or room maintenance issues to
    AYS (At Your Service).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    -Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, walk, and stand
    up to 8 hours per shift.
    -Must
    be able to reach, and lift up to 15 lbs. Must be able to push cart of
    approximately 50 lbs.
    -Good
    vision with ability to see work assignment page, and ability to see
    imperfections such as hair on sheets, drains, carpet, etc.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    -Conducts
    weekly and monthly linen inventory.
    -Prepares
    and follows up on incidents and accident reports.
    -Flexible schedule.
    -Ability
    to understand job duties and room assignments. Must be able to properly greet a
    guest and make a positive impression.
    -Able
    to work flexible schedule, varied shifts and days (AMs and PMs), including
    holidays and weekends.
    -Perform
    any duties as assigned by Director of Services.
