Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing with execution of the annual marketing plan in line with the hotel's strategic priorities and revenue targets for rooms and food and beverage.

This role promotes on-brand, luxury messaging to upscale audiences through traditional, digital, and social media channels to help build brand awareness, drive consumer preference, and increase market share.

Success is measured by social media engagement, timely and regularly updated content across all available platforms, maintenance of the brand's luxury positioning in all job functions, and contribution to the increased sales and revenue for the property and all outlets as part of the marketing department's overall goals.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Hotel Positioning

* Position The Joseph as the premier hotel in Nashville with a wide variety of unique/luxury offerings
* Position The Joseph as the leader in the luxury travel markets for both transient and group
* Promote unique features at The Joseph, including the property's architectural design, curated art collection, luxury spa, culinary offerings, etc.
* Promote food and beverage partners, The Mantuanos
* Promote and position each of the unique dining offerings as one-of-a-kind experiences in Nashville
Sales, Marketing and Public Relations

* Utilize InDesign, Canva and Microsoft Office platforms to assist with the creation of collateral, proposals, client event invitations, client gifts, PowerPoint presentations, HR materials, branded products, dining outlet menus, etc.
* Maintain the hotel's Marriott Asset Library and its content to ensure it is current and meets the needs of all our internal initiatives and activities.
* Update content on all lead platforms for both group sales and catering.
* Work with Director of Marketing and PR team to assist with execution of PR events and support efforts via social media channels.
* Participate in development of programming and activations of The Joseph.
* Create weekly recap of media coverage to include in internal communications.
* Assist with monthly reporting to showcase results of the marketing team's efforts.
* Represent the marketing department at monthly department meetings, weekly operations meeting, and daily stand-up meetings, as needed, to deliver The Joseph's PR/Marketing updates to all associates.
* Become a destination authority to best serve the needs of our luxury clientele.
Social Media

* Execute social media strategies to support revenue generation in transient, group, catering, spa, and food/beverage outlets.
* Manage all channels by posting on a consistent/regular basis and communicating with fans/followers in a timely manner (including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Blogs, podcasts, online contests, community and viral networking sites) in support of hotel's marketing initiatives.
* Utilize Sprout Social for scheduling and reporting.
* Create content that fits The Joseph's elevated, luxury branding by developing unique stories that denote a leader in the industry, not a follower.
* Produce organic growth of social media following via proactive, authentic, and engaging interactions with potential customers and influencers.
* Assist with identifying and vetting social media influencer opportunities.
* Follow The Luxury Collection's brand guidelines for social media and develop elevated content that is unique and representative of high-end luxury brands targeting affluent markets.
* Work with Director of Marketing to build social media advertising campaigns that are highly targeted to drive bookings of rooms, spa appointments and dining reservations.
* Develop monthly content calendars and conduct internal meetings to ensure gathering of necessary assets and information.
* Create monthly report and analyze key performance indicators to guide ongoing efforts and strategy.
Websites

* Utilize CMS tools to maintain content on the hotel's vanity website, Marriott.com site, and Yolan's website.
* Ensure information is accurate, optimized, current and fresh, to include programming and activation updates, menu updates, package updates, landing pages for marketing campaigns, etc.
* Pull data for monthly reports via Google Analytics, CMS tools, and Marriott Digital Services reporting.
Third Party & Affiliate Websites/Hotel Reviews

* Manage partner website exposure (Google Business, TripAdvisor, Tock, Yelp, etc.) to ensure current content and utilization of all complimentary marketing opportunities.
* Coordinate responses to hotel reviews on TripAdvisor, Expedia.com, Marriott.com, and all social media sites.
* Review the GuestVoice platform daily, close alerts and respond as appropriate.
* Update photography on booking sites in coordination with DORM.
QUALIFICATIONS

* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Proven ability to write in a luxury voice. Writing samples required.
* Ability to conceptualize and implement strategic social media campaigns and content.
* Strength in effective communication with both internal and external audiences.
* Expertise in website CMS platforms, Sprout Social, all social media platforms, Google Business, Google Analytics, and Adobe Suite of design software.
* Experience in photography and/or film, as well as Lightroom for editing.
