Job Description

The Pharmacy Quality Program Coordinator will perform phone based outreach to providers, members, and/or pharmacies to address clinical gaps in care including but not limited to:

  • Statins in persons with diabetes
  • Blood pressure medication adherence
  • Cholesterol medication adherence
  • Diabetes medication adherence
  • Medication use for rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoporosis management
  • Other types of outreach as needed by the medical and pharmacy teams

Train and motivate staff to address quality-related gaps in care.  Identify barriers to productivity and quality; appropriately escalate concerns to management in a timely manner.



High School Diploma or GED

Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy strongly preferred

Two (2) or more years in a direct patient care setting, retail pharmacy, or in the pharmacy department of a health plan or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM)

Experience taking customer or member calls is required

Experience working in a retail pharmacy is preferred

Experience working with pharmacy claims and troubleshooting claims rejections is strongly preferred

Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
