|Coordinates, and evaluates patient care and personnel work assignments to ensure patient-care standards are met. Plans for and participates in the clinical development and evaluation of unit staff and self to ensure unit clinical competency, position retention, and personal growth. Develops and implements continuous quality improvement plans and procedures to assess and improve the quality of the department, clinical, and support processes. In doing so, allocates sufficient resources, provides ongoing communication and assures that staff is trained in measuring, assessing, and improving performance. Ensures institutional policies are upheld to ensure patient safety, consistency and quality in health-care delivery. Provide leadership and direction to staff in support of IASIS Health System guest relations philosophy. Is capable of performing general respiratory therapy duties when necessary to ensure staffing needs are met.|
|Position responsible for direction of cardiopulmonary services . Responsible for departmental day to day operation of department and staff.|
|Minimum Education: Technical Training, completion of formal training; Graduate of AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy|
|Required: Must have 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner , 3-5 years supervisory experience or education can be matched year for year|
|Current license by the State of Arizona as a RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner)|
|ACLS certificate (annual and within 3 months of hire for new staff).|
|PALS (annual or within 6 months of hire for new staff, as required by the facility)|
|Ability to read and communicate effective in English|
|Additional languages preferred|
|Basic computer knowledge.|
Prior experience in management and/or minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a medical/surgical/telemetry area.
