Provides guidance to leaders through tailored one-on-one coaching focused on developing their leadership and management skills to achieve optimal performance for themselves and their teams. Assists employees with issues such as stress, conflicts, and transitions that affect job-related performance and personal well- being. Refers to outside treatment and counseling when necessary.


Interviews and assesses employees to obtain information about home environment, family relationships, work relationships, and personality traits.

Consults with business leaders to assess organization and individual leadership development needs.

Provides coaching to shape or modify management behavior and improve performance and organizational effectiveness.

Development and implementation of initial and continuing coaching plans. 

Establish and maintain trusted client relationships, and uphold client confidentiality.

Track progress and participation of participants.

Act as a resource for staff.

Document in a clear, complete, concise, and organized manner.

Adhere to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.

Perform related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:  Bachelor degree in business, psychology, social work or related field required. 

EXPERIENCE:   Minimum of five (5) years of coaching experience required. Experience coaching staff and leaders, including executives preferred. 

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:  None required. Successful completion of coach training and certification from a recognized, reputable program (such as International Coach Federation) highly preferred.


  • Knowledge of computer application software such as Microsoft Office products.

  • Extensive knowledge of leadership, life coaching and facilitation.

  • Must have knowledge of leadership theory and concepts.

  • Program development experience.

  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills. Works collaboratively.

  • High level listening skills with the ability to evaluate needs and develop coaching plans.

  • Ability to present relevant topics to individuals and small or large groups.

  • Ability to work independently in assessing staff and making decisions and judgements.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
