Under the guidance and the direction of the VP of Behavioral Health Services, the Manager Chaplain Services administers, supervises and coordinates the overall services of both staff and volunteer chaplains of the chaplaincy department.

Qualifications:

Requires a BA in Pastoral Theology and successful completion of reputable hospital Chaplains' training course. Preferably Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association. Prefer a MDIV in Pastoral Theology or Counseling. Requires prior experience as a chaplain in a hospital or hospice setting. Prefer three to five (3-5) years administrative experience. Prefer Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association (HCMA) denominational endorsement and Clergy Ordination. Must have a solid standing within his or her denomination, as evidenced by ecclesiastical endorsement. Demonstrable value placed on the importance of working as a team both within and out side the department. Ability to be assertive yet flexible. Ability to exercise the authority of the position while knowing how to delegate. Must be in good physical and emotional health. Ability and stamina to minister to patients/residents/clients with varying physical and mental dysfunctions. Flexibility in work hours, programs, and services. Ability and desire to work with clergy and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds. Experience in working as part of a team; good communication skills.
