Oversee the development of the core banking system. Work with the vendor and business on requirements, define solutions, and manage software releases. Responsible for the day to day activities in conjunction with the vendor for the core banking platform and components. Responsible for review the monthly SLAs for vendor IT services and invoices. Responsible for responding to productions issues and resolving problems / incidents. Responsible for overseeing all daily core banking transactions activities. Responsible for managing the change management for core banking and Tahoe bank. Manage the application catalog for the Tahoe bank. Responsible for driving the core banking road map for future releases. Work with PM's to align plans with Core system dependency. Responsible for the delivery of core banking releases.
Directly supervises software engineers and systems analysts engaged in designing, developing, coding, maintaining and modifying application programs. Directs, controls and monitors project progress. Performs project group administration and staff appraisals, counseling, interviews with potential candidates and terminating staff members as needed. Provides advice and / or technical assistance to users on a detailed level.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE - Supervises Software Engineer / Analysts engaged in designing, developing, coding, maintaining and modifying application programs for a limited area or small number of projects. Ensures application systems are reliable and that data files maintain data integrity; application failures and / or data inconsistencies are corrected in an expedient manner; departmental programming standards are maintained for all products placed into production; compliance with data security and auditing requirements of applications responsible.
USER SUPPORT - Assists users by recognizing their needs and creating the necessary work order to meet these needs. Provides advice and / or technical assistance to internal customers in performing data processing functions, i.e., feasibility studies, detailed requirements, application system design, processing problems, etc. on a detailed basis. Ensures that the appropriate user documentation is provided.
PROJECT CONTROL - Reviews requirements and objectives of projects determines priorities and staffing requirements and schedules, delegates and coordinates the work of subordinates. Defines, drafts and distributes project plans, directs and controls project progress and reviews completed work to ensure that programs adhere to corporate policies, practices and programming quality standards. Monitors project progress to ensure necessary resources have been allocated and to ensure that projects will be delivered in a timely manner. Implements programs into the production environment and monitors program performance. Evaluates system after it has been put into use to ensure that user needs have been met and that the system is fulfilling the originally defined requirements at a satisfactory level.
Performs project group administration using the Division's administrative products and procedures. Prepares activity and status reports for management for all project activities; aids in the preparation of cost / benefit analysis report, audit responses, special project reports and project implementation reports.
Determines the most effective responsibilities for their software engineer / analysts and assigns work based on this structure and on available resources and commitments.
- 7-10 years' experience managing core banking platform development in a mainframe and distributed environment.
- 7-10 years experience support Banking or Financial systems.
- Individual needs to possess a technical background with Fidelity Information Systems (FIS) Xpress middleware.
- Experience with the integration of Xpress.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience in Information Technology.
- Self-starter, can work independently, results oriented, expert skills in MS office (excel, word, PowerPoint). Effective communication both written and oral skills.
- PMP certification a plus.
