    Job Description

    Responsible for management and operation of all PHS property, land and buildings, either owned or leased. Assures mission, goals and strategy of PHS are met through property management and acquisition. Promote and implement effective processes across the scope of Real Estate, Plant Services and Biomed functions. Lead teams responsible for all maintenance, bio-med, and facility engineering for PHS properties.


    *Participate in Senior Leader meetings, and other committees and task forces to ensure the development and implementation of strategies and tactics required to achieve PHS objectives.
    *Participate and lead various aspects of PHS capital planning and funding cycle.
    *Lead property strategy for PHS including master planning, land banking, property assemblage, and all acquisition and disposition of properties.
    *Mentor and coach direct reports to assist with their performance improvement and achievement of departmental and organizational objectives, including scope of construction projects and related capital budgets.
    *Develop and maintain building and finish standards to set the stage for the look and feel at Presbyterian facilities (Hospitals, Clinics, and Corporate offices); be a champion of the aesthetic details of all hospital/clinics and ensure all visitors feel welcomed.
    *Manage the Real Estate Department of PHS including construction projects, architectural contracts, facility planning, leases within PHS, and purchase and disposition of various PHS properties.
    *Manage the financial position of Presbyterian Properties, Inc. (PPI), by managing various real estate functions including external leases of PPI owned properties, and purchases and disposition of various PPI properties.
    *Provide oversight to Plant Services and Biomed functions to assist with their performance improvement and achievement of goals.
    *Lead all licensing efforts with New Mexico Department of Health.


    Other information:
    Bachelor Degree required. Master Degree Preferred.
    Experience with leading construction projects. 10 years experience with construction project management.
    Background in healthcare organizations preferred.
    Demonstrated ability with real estate negotiations and government approvals for construction projects.
    Need to visit construction sites

    Competency: Information pertinent to construction and building codes.
