Job Description

   Job Responsibilities: 




· Lead all aspects of the Environment Health and Safety function for Prince Contracting, LLC 


· Ensure that Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) teams for each project are adequately resourced with capable personnel 


· Champion Prince Contracting, LLC’s ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certification process 


· Ensure that leaders understand and have clear EHS roles and responsibilities  


· Provide accurate and timely safety reports to the Executive Team of Prince Contracting, LLC as may be required 


· Conduct regular visits to Prince Contracting, LLC projects as maybe required. 


· Ensure that safety personnel have adequate training available to perform their duties/responsibilities 


· Facilitate the ongoing transformation of the existing EH&S process and documentation to ensure that sufficient training is made available 


· Participate and engage with the safety and project management teams during the investigation(s) of all serious accidents and share lessons learned to ensure that appropriate corrective actions are applied consistently across the board 


· Ensure that a safety strategy is applied to all new pursuits and investments and that an EH&S risk assessment is completed for each project prior to commencement 


· Ensure that all EH&S roles and responsibilities are read, understood and applied 


· Commit to undertake relevant and ongoing training to assist in improving personal professional development 


· Provide annual performance evaluation to all direct reports 


· Serve as the ISO lead auditor 


· Attend PRINCE mandated safety meetings 


· Ensure that all incidents are recorded in AIC or any other software as mandated by PRINCE 


· Administer the return to work policy for PRINCE projects 


· Ensure that all projects have an updated Site Specific EH&S Plan 


· Maintain the OSHA 300 log of each project 


Job Requirements: 


· Bachelor’s (preferred but not required)  


· Ten (10) year of experience 


· CSP (preferred) 


· CHST(preferred) 


· OSHA 500 


· Minimum five (5) years of supervisory role experience 


· Good understanding of DOT requirements 


· Knowledge and Understanding of ISO 45000 and 14001 


· Dynamic leader 


· Travel about 70% 


· Major heavy civil experience leading a team 


· Previous Director level position with a heavy civil company a plus
