The Field Ops Desktop Administrator provides high levels of customer service to users of Satellite’s desktop operating systems. This position acts as an IT representative to Satellite Healthcare clinics to ensure all technological problems are addressed. This position will be required to travel to different clinics to bring up as well as support the clinics.

Essential Functions

  • Participate in clinical build, move, and refresh
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported
  • Maintain computer equipment and software to ensure secure and efficient operations
  • Test and implement new software programs for the company
  • Continually evaluate and propose more cost effective and efficient operations
  • Escalate requests to the appropriate party promptly.
  • Conduct trainings for end users to enhance system productivity
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
  • Assist in the development of IT process and procedures, training coursework and materials
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for site builds, moves, and upgrades
  • Assist with management of inventory
  • Assist with A/V and large meeting support needs
  • Travel up to 50%


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: HS diploma or GED

Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a Computer Technician or Desktop Support Specialist

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems
  • Experience supporting video conferencing solutions: WebEx, Zoom, etc…
  • Experience working with switches as well as racking servers
  • Experience patching network cables
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectively
  • Ability to utilize provided company imaging software to image PC/laptops
  • Working knowledge with anti-virus software
  • Ability to work as part of team and independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of networking theory, TCP/IP protocol and IP addressing
  • Assist with inventory management, audit, receiving and shipping of HW/material as needed
  • Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email
