Customer Service Manager

The Manager of Customer Service within the Patient Financial Services is responsible for the oversight of the hospital customer service team. Specifically, the manager is monitoring and managing the activities related to customer service, customer requests, payment options, and call volumes. He or she is accountable for the day-to-day operations including implementation of action plans, work processes and resource management to achieve performance metrics established by financial leadership. The manager measures productivity and quality of workforce, and reviews and updates department policies and procedures.
Basic college courses required, Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or other similar field preferred. Excellent telephone and written communication skills required. Effective people management and negotiation skills required. Excellent computer skills with intermediate or better use of Excel and other reporting/analytical tools. Cerner experience preferred.
** Prior supervisory experience in a Hospital Business Office required. **
