Position Description
Plans and directs the overall operation of a major department (with institutional oversight) and provides leadership for staff members. Meets ORP eligibility requirements. Under executive direction, performs highly varied administrative duties involving the use of independent judgment and professional skills. Responsible for all employees assigned to area.

Major/Essential Functions

- Master’s degree or above in clinical discipline (medical, surgery, allied health, mental health), Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field. Doctorate degree preferred.
-Seven (7) plus years progressively responsible executive level experience up to CEO of a large, multifaceted organization.
-Experience in public sector administration preferred.
-Education/training can be substituted for previous work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
-Telehealth / Telemedicine in clinical settings experience.
-Direct experience working with federal grants and entitlement programs and attainment of successful grant writing and funding.
-Ability to understand and implement strategic priorities and guide the InHT programs towards accomplishment of those priorities.
-Ability to project, prepare, manage, and execute comprehensive operating budgets using fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints.
-Knowledge of the legislative process.
-Knowledge of principles and practices of effective personnel and project supervisions.
-Ability to act in a sound, logical and appropriate manner based on well thought out analysis of situation or problem.
-Ability to speak confidently at public meetings and make presentations to boards, associations, and other rural health related gatherings.
-Ability to provide clear and direct instructions to staff and to solicit both input and feedback from customers and constituents in order to plan effectively, implement programs and policies and monitor effectiveness of office initiatives.
-Skilled in research, report, and grant writing.
-Ability to establish and implement program evaluation metrics to assess outcomes.
-Skilled in public and human relations.
