|Working Title||Operations Manager|
The University of New Mexico, Department of Neurology is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to further their career at the University of New Mexico. The successful candidate should be well-versed in the daily operational activities of an integrated department at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, and will assist the Department Administrator organize, prioritize, and schedule daily work assignments.
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing Standard Operation Procedures, as well as overseeing the responsibilities of the Department’s HR functions. The incumbent will also support the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and provide strategic guidance on the Department’s Clinical Mission, which include both inpatient and outpatient services for multiple subspecialties.
The incumbent will have the ability to foster a a cooperative team based work environment and provide leadership in the absence of the Department Administrator.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
· Prior Experience supervising staff
· Prior Experience in HR systems and processes
· Prior Experience in academic clinical setting
· Prior Experience with EMR
· Understanding of revenue cycle in a clinical practice
