Program Manager - req# 7997
at University of New Mexico
|Working Title||Program Manager|
The CNAH is looking for a responsible and skilled Program Manager to join our team. UNM Health Sciences Center for Native American Health (CNAH) builds and strengthens health alliances between the Native American and University communities and their partners for the purpose of improving Native American health in New Mexico. CNAH is focused on a set of complementary objectives based in education, research, and service funded by state appropriation, contracts and grants.
CNAH is in a state of steady growth with more grants and contracts than any other point in its 15-year history and has expanded the numbers of research initiatives, programs, and services that we offer on campus and in the community. Operating with a number of revenue streams and as a special project of the NM legislature, CNAH’s budget is complex and a number of reports are required. CNAH’s current administrative support consists of one program coordinator and the workload and level of decision-making is now at a higher level of administrative need. We require supervisory assistance for 3 staff and 1 student employee. In addition, CNAH has at least one major community-based event each quarter and logistics and upfront work are time-sensitive. A program manager is needed in order for CNAH to continue its progress by supporting program development and providing research grants and contracts management, budget and financial management, personnel supervision, and other administrative duties.
TERM APPOINTMENT; FUNDING AVAILABLE THROUGH 5/31/2019; CONTINUANCE BEYOND THAT DATE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING. The CNAH has a 5 year grant and is currently in its 2nd year of funding and continued funding is likely.
