As a Risk Management Representative, you'll have the chance to help ensure the safety and soundness of USE.   • Serve as the key enterprise wide point of contact for design, development, testing and implementation of the BCP.
  • Manage recovery response efforts when the BCP is deployed.
  • Develop, test, refresh and maintain functional area plans with business unit BCP representatives across the enterprise.
  • Accountable for the overall maintenance of the BCP program including administration of BCP vendors and collaboration with business units.
  • Identify, propose, and implement program enhancements.
  • Responsible for acting as a central point of intelligence, direction and resource support for executive management and business units when business disruption occurs.
  • Administer table top and recovery drills.
  • Develop and propose content and partner with HR/Training to facilitate training efforts.
  • Accountable for maintaining plan documentation, including procedures.
  • Execute regular program status and statistics updates to the executive team, supervisory committee, and board of directors, when requested, for strategic planning purposes.
  • Responsible for all aspects of enterprise wide vendor management.
  • Develop and implement updated vendor management protocols and partner with business units to ensure program requirements are observed and maintained.
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness within the VM system of record.
  • Develop, propose, and facilitate oversight activities for all new and existing third-party relationships.
  • Manage due diligence requests/issues including communications with business unit leadership.
  • Facilitate with business units and the VM computer system support provider to complete vendor risk assessments and vendor performance requirements
  • Develop and maintain vendor selection guidelines, including: vendor criticality classifications, risk assessments and due diligence consistent with NCUA guidelines. Identify and escalate program risk and control issues to management.
  • Administer contract end-of-term and vendor relationship closeout activities.
  • Establish and maintain an organized documentation and reporting system for management to be fully informed of the performance and risk related to third party vendors.
  • Responsible for maintaining plan documentation, including procedures.
  • Execute regular program status and statistics updates to the executive team, supervisory committee, and board of directors, when requested, for strategic planning purposes.
  • Additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to, partnering with other areas of the Enterprise Risk Management department.

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years of vendor management and business continuity experience, or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • Financial institution is preferred.
  • Written and verbal communication skills which support effective communication of information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from business line managers and staff.
  • Ability to read, interpret, analyze and communicate with all levels of staff on a variety of topics, including but not limited to general business, policies, procedures, laws and regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills including but not limited to team building, maintaining a significant level of trust and diplomacy, and fostering internal and external business relationships.
  • CUNA Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager preferred. Willingness to become certified for vendor management, BCP, or other focused areas required.
  • The requirements for this job include the ability to use Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly; requires general knowledge of network and database use.
  • The ability to work under strict deadlines and successfully handle difficult situations efficiently and effectively is required.
